There is plenty to do in the area, including the wonderful Walt Disney Family Museum.

Stanyan Park Hotel
A historic Victorian hotel located in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district, directly across from Golden Gate Park. Built between 1904 and 1905, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was restored in 1983 to its original Beaux-Arts elegance. We recommend flying into SFO and using the plentifully-available ride share to get around the city.
We often use the autonomous ride share service Waymo and highly recommend it.
We do not recommend renting a car in the city, but if you so choose:
Marina Motel and Beck’s Motor Lodge offer complimentary parking and Hotel Kabuki offers paid parking.
